BBC News – Full jails told to take in more prisoners – Metropolitan Police given permission to buy water cannon – Sounds like the government will be announcing something unpopular this summer

Jails..

Full jails told to take in more prisoners.  Forty prisons have been told to take in more inmates, although 34 are already full. The Ministry of Justice has ordered dozens of already full jails to take more prisoners because the jail population is increasing faster than expected, it has emerged.

Water Cannon..

Approval has been given for the Metropolitan Police to purchase three water cannon for London. A Home Office spokesman said: “We are keen to ensure that the police have the tools and powers they need to maintain order on our streets.”

Why?

The UK is the world’s six largest economy, yet 1 in 5 of the UK population live below our official poverty line, meaning that they experience life as a daily struggle. (Oxfam)

More people are falling into debt because they cannot afford basic household bills, such as energy, water and council tax, a charity says.

So as the pressure builds up for a population now deep in debt, could it be that the government are expecting things to crack?

Could it be that there is something coming up which could well result in a lot of civil disorder?

Iraq crisis: Islamists force 500,000 to flee Mosul

"Vital areas" of the city of Mosul have been seized, Iraq’s prime minister said

Haven’t we done well!
In 2003, a coalition led by the U.S. and U.K. invaded Iraq to depose Saddam, in which U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair accused him of possessing weapons of mass destruction and having ties to al-Qaeda. Saddam’s Ba’ath party was disbanded and elections were held. Following his capture on 13 December 2003, the trial of Saddam took place under the Iraqi interim government. On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted of charges related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi’ites and was sentenced to death by hanging. His execution was carried out on 30 December 2006.

120,000 innocent civilians were killed to remove this man.

Now more will die whilst the country enters into civil war.

I know that democracy is a good idea but sometimes it takes a dictator to hold things together. ‘An average of 200 people are killed every month in Iraq as a direct result of the illegal invasion ordered by Bush and Blair,’ said journalist and filmmaker John Pilger.

But wait…
Mosel is very close to the oil fields of the north.
I have a feeling that intervention could well be on the minds of the USA

BBC News – Sexual violence in war: Jolie opens summit in London

BBC News – Sexual violence in war: Jolie opens summit in London.

War is terrible. War is awful. Terrible things happen. Unimaginable things take place. The truth of it is that when young men are given a low life expectancy, and a gun, they will feel as if they can do what they want. The threat of further action being taken for the things that they do during war, will not be in their minds.
They are taught by their leaders that they are dealing with an ENEMY. Leaders like William Hague.
An ENEMY must be defeated.
Property of that ENEMY are part of the spoils of war. It can be treated without respect. It can be abused.
What better way to hurt your ENEMY than to damage his possessions?
In some cultures women are the possessions of men.
Rape is not done by people who necessarily want sex. They want to show how powerful they are.

The best way of stopping sexual violence in war is to stop war. All other attempts will fail.
It would be great to take killing out of war too.
According to William Hague – Rape… wrong! Killing… OK! This is what we will be telling our soldiers.

Diabetes – What is really happening?

“One in three adults in England ‘on cusp’ of diabetes”

People with pre-diabetes have no symptoms of ill health, but their blood sugar levels are at the very high end of the normal range – on the cusp of diabetes.

Surely, haven’t we seen a dramatic rise in the consumption of artificial sweeteners, and so it can’t be sugar that is to blame.

Take a look at what Dr Mercola says

Diet foods and drinks are promoted to help you lose weight but compelling evidence shows that artificial sweeteners like aspartame cause weight gain rather than weight loss. That’s right, aspartame―which was once hailed as a wonder chemical because it tastes like sugar without the calories―actually makes you fatter, and adversely affects your blood glucose levels and insulin sensitivity.

Expat Scots demand a vote in independence referendum – as they may be forced to return to Scotland

Reuters – A million Scots living outside of Scotland should be allowed to vote in a referendum this year on whether their country becomes an independent nation, one of them said on Monday as he sought backing for a legal challenge.

This is an important issue as it has been revealed today, that there will be a program of forced repatriation from the UK, should Scotland vote for independence.

National  Coaches and Virgin Trains have both been approached by the Home Office, to start the planning of special ‘Take them all back’  services.Scottish-Flag-1

Criminalisation of the Purchase of Sex to be extended to Married Couples

couple
A proposal for a Bill to make it an offence to purchase sex, which has been put forward by Rhoda Grant MSP, will look into extending the offence to those people who are having sex with a partner who no longer likes them.
It has been calculated that there are many wives who are providing sexual services to their husbands, just to get the mortgage paid, or the kids provided for, and this will put their husbands technically in breach of this new law.

It is proposed that once a year, married women will be asked if they still fancy their husbands, and if the answer is a resounding ‘No’, then the husband will be given a verbal warning, and if he persists in having sex with his wife, will be fined, and possibly imprisoned.

Mary Leek from Relate, says “We see many, many couples where women are just having sex because they feel they have to keep the peace. Given the choice, they would rather be celibate, or at least shag someone they fancy, even if its only a bit”
“The size of the problem is enormous; we calculate that 40% of all marriages come into this category”

Dr Richard Slicker from the pharmaceutical giant Bonsento, has noted that there has been a rise in the purchase of ‘Menstrumake’, a drug which will cause women to menstruate whenever taken. “It gives them an excuse not to have sex”, says Slicker, “but not in all cases. We are currently developing a product which will produce a nasty looking rash around the front bottom area”
